Warfare
Alex Garland steps into unfamiliar territory and delivers one of the most intense war films I've seen in years. Rather than focusing on grand strategy or political commentary, the film concentrates on a single event and the men forced to endure it. That narrow focus gives the story a level of authenticity and emotional weight that many larger war films struggle to achieve.
The filmmaking is exceptional throughout. Garland creates a constant sense of tension and uncertainty, making the audience feel trapped alongside the soldiers as events spiral beyond their control. The combat sequences are presented with remarkable attention to detail, emphasizing confusion, fear, and survival rather than spectacle.
A great deal of credit also belongs to Ray Mendoza for sharing this deeply personal story. The film honors the courage of those involved without glorifying the violence they experienced. Instead, it serves as a reminder of the human cost of war and the burden carried by those who survive it.
Warfare is gripping, technically impressive, and emotionally powerful.

I really liked it. Warfare doesn't try to impress with speeches or big lines. It just drops you into hell-and leaves you there. This is one of the most realistic war films I've ...

It's kind of hard to rate this one because the first half hour is boring as hell and has no character development for me to care about any of these guys. The acting is great in ...
