Whiplash

Watched Whiplash this year. This is the first Damien Chazelle movie I have seen. I will say that what I saw is probably the best movie about music I have ever watched. This awesome intense movie with Miles Teller and J.K Simmons. I watched this and was blown away. It is about a drummer, Andrew Nieman a young first year drummer at Schaffer Conservatory who is seen by how good he is that the instructor, Terrence Fletcher who is an intense,mean and crazy band instructor and he is very about pushing to the limits but when Andrew joins he expects something else this guy is an erratic instructor so when the competitions are coming he is an alternate until he learns a double swing and then he tries to get new drummer and this kind of destroys Andrew’s simple minded personality that goes from calm to straight up angry while this is happening he meets a girl but after nearly getting cut he breaks up with her and then he goes to his next competition where he gets on a head on collision right before this he goes and fails due to his injury and then stops and his father files a complaint and he then one day notices that he was fired after something happened to a former student and compliant he gets Andrew back in after all that happens and he then tries to sabotage Andrew’s chance then he puts full revenge on by play a long version of the grueling song “Whiplash” and puts on a crazy good performance. The quality is good. The storytelling is as intense as a movie i think can get with music especially since it is jazz he has to really tap into it the beautiful cinematography and amazing score from Hank Levy the acting from Miles teller is crazy he is literally bleed while practice and going on the drums like a mad man and the intensity from J.K. Simmons is an outstanding performance. Overall I would rate this movie 5 out of 5 stars. My favorite scene is the dinner scene when he is roasting his cousins that they are D3 football. I would recommend this movie.
