Seabiscuit

This had me messed up! I must have teared up or full on cried like 6 times. It’s such a beautiful story. In the hands of a better directing/story editing team this would be a 5-star classic, for sure. There’s some cutting that really undermines the flow of the story and they maybe should have just bit the bullet and made this a full 3 hours.  I caught a lot of bits and pieces of this when I was younger because we only ever had basic channels at my house on tv growing up and this one was frequently shown on ABC. I hadn’t ever sat through the whole thing and I liked it more than I was expecting.  Bridges maybe phones it in a little bit but the performances are mostly really good. Chris Cooper is straight up awesome.  I definitely would have been a Biscut stan. Let it ride, Pops.
