Babylon
a true tribute to hollywood.
this era of movie making is largely ignored and discussed in hushed whispers, so it's so fascinating and satisfying to see it not only talked about but finally put on the screen it loved so much.
margot robbie gives a career-best performance in my eyes, really defining what was so good and bad about this long-gone time. brad pitt and diego calva are also outstanding, i just thought i'd highlight one performance that outshone the others.
i don't really understand the hate babylon gets, as the opening sequence in the party hooked me in for the ride and showed me what to expect throughout the film; great cinematography, directing, acting and just an overall crazy, overwhelming, melancholic atmosphere
