Bugonia
We drove 90 mins one way to see the 9:30 showing bc there weren't any theaters closer that had it (which is wild to me considering how good it is) and got back at like 1:40 a.m., but it was completely worth it
This was the final film of our 13 Flicks of Halloween, and it was such a good time watching all of them with my sista! Normally, it's quite difficult to even get her to sit down for one with me, so her committing to the challenge and watching at least one a day for over a week was amazing!
Now, on to the film. This was, without a doubt, my most anticipated film of the year. Yorgos is simply a genius. The acting was superb. I thought Stavros was an interesting choice at first, but he fit the role very well. The pacing and setup is spectacular, and throughout the viewing there are so many different seeds of doubt that are planted expertly
My favorite film of the year so far

Bugonia was a fun and refreshingly original film. In an industry filled with sequels, remakes, and familiar formulas, I appreciated how willing it was to embrace its own strange...
