In A Violent Nature

kind of bummed how much I didn't enjoy this. I have a soft spot for old slashers and the idea here of "what if an 80s slasher sequel was focused on the silent killer" is interesting enough to draw me in. the movie itself drops that premise fairly often to fall back to a really, really boring version of one of that same slasher slop it's attempting to deconstruct. the kills are not super plentiful given the slow pace of the movie but they are fun, particularly the *one* specific kill that many of the other reviews talk about. there's enough here for me to be interested in what the director makes next, but this was just a bummer for me
