Found it hard to rate this one as it has some great ideas, but is hurt by its TV budget. Part of the horror being gaslighting in addition to an actual threat was interesting. Much more of an easy watch than Body in my opinion. Dermot Mulroney as the dad is great. The depiction of mental illness in movies is often hit or miss, and Flesh & Blood struggles in portraying severe anxiety/agoraphobia (displaying it as cheesy quick cuts), but you can tell there was an attempt. Flesh & Blood takes place entirely in the house, save for one quick scene of side characters in a car. This might actually be due to budget, but it does assist the movie's mental illness themes. Flesh & Blood isn't groundbreaking by any means, but it's a fun made-for-tv slasher. Moving onto Pooka and New Year, New You next.
