Chapter Seven: The Lost Sister

This episode was honestly the most boring one of the season. It feels like a new writer was brought in and randomly assigned an episode pulled from what should’ve been an eight-part arc. The powers El displayed at the beginning don’t even come back until Episode 7.

The emotional beats and plot here are just plain generic—a formulaic reunion followed by El going off track, only to have a psychic vision of happy memories at the very end. Then she suddenly realizes her friends and Hopper are her real family just as they’re in danger. It all comes off so forced and unnatural.

I really didn’t like the characters suddenly thrown into this episode either. It’s like enjoying a delicious meal and suddenly biting into something spoiled—it ruins the whole experience.

这集真的是本季最无聊的，这集像是找了一个新人编剧硬生生从八级里抽了一集让他写，从开头的能力展现直到第七集才再出现，这集所展现出的各种情感以及剧情非常的普通就是一个普通套路化的认亲然后误入歧途然后el在结尾开始通灵看到了以前美好的回忆，然后自己的朋友和养父有危险了才意识到这才是家这才是朋友总之非常的生硬，非常不喜欢这一集突然加进来的人，像是你在吃一顿美味佳肴突然吃到一个变质了的食物，毁坏了你的整个体验。
