Chapter Five: The Nina Project
This review contains spoilers
Don’t give up, Jim Hopper! You can break free from this curse and live the life you deserve with Joyce and El.
Okay, I was totally expecting Murray to get shot on that plane—turns out the guy’s actually got skills! Though honestly, with guns that close, a few shots would’ve been game over. Funniest part is if he just hadn’t touched the plane, nothing would’ve happened… though realistically, surviving that crash seems pretty unlikely. Guess they got lucky with the altitude or something.
I’m still trying to figure out why Dr. Martin Brenner cares so much about El, considering she hates his guts. He strikes me as the type who’s genuinely obsessed with science—not in a crazy way, but calm and even gentle in his own messed-up way. He understands human limits and pushes just enough that El still ends up trusting him at times. But his tech is way too advanced—being able to dive into someone’s memory and reshape it? That’s next level.
Also, what’s up with the monster not following its own rules? Weren’t victims supposed to have 24 hours after the first vision? This time it just went straight for the kill—no buildup, no suspense. Kinda anticlimactic.
