The Undoing had everything to be an excellent psychological miniseries: a stylish production, a wealthy New York setting, and a murder that promised secrets under the surface. However, despite its elegant cinematography and expensive polish, the storytelling never truly surprised me. The plot felt quite linear—each episode looked as if it was building toward a shocking revelation, yet the ending turned out exactly as one might expect. What disappointed me most was the acting. Both Nicole Kidman and Hugh Grant seemed strangely detached. Their emotions often looked rehearsed rather than lived, which made it difficult to believe in the authenticity of their characters or feel the tension between them. Overall, The Undoing is visually impressive and has a certain charm, but it lacks the psychological depth and clever twist that such a setup deserves. It’s an entertaining watch, yet too predictable to be truly gripping.
