The animation may look a little cutesy (i.e. childish or like a trailer for a certain mobile game), but the humour makes the show worthwhile for those a little bit older. A Tale Dark & Grimm blends fairy tales into its own narrative that stands on its own. The voice acting is solid, and the dialogue is the best part of the show. The show is mostly whimsical, at times a little sentimental, and consistently fun.
