A general survey of the effects of Airbnb's uberisation of the short-term rental market, from dissatisfied "hosts" and guests to the larger scale consequences for urban life of Airbnb's rapid rise and increasing commercialisation (including by large property management companies and so on). More interesting than I was expecting, and, while not every aspect was explored in enough detail to be thoroughly convincing, it became clear that Airbnb is indeed contributing its own form of disruption.
