The show runs on some pretty fucking absurd logic which it takes at face value, but at the same time, it's oddly engrossing and the fights are incredibly entertaining to watch. Baki's progression as a character is interesting to watch despite{or I should say because of} the show's wonky use of logic regarding how martial arts training works and it's elevated by a colorful and memorable cast of characters who all have interesting{albeit somewhat generic} backstories and personalities.
