Aoshima is excited to start his first day as a detective at the local police station. When a murder occurs, he thinks he is going to be investigating. Instead, he discovers that the division between the Metropolitan police and the local police is very large.

A gift to Inspector Waku turns out to be more than anyone at the precinct bargained for. At the same time, Aoshima learn a valuable lesson about the relationship between police and criminals.

Sumire is ordered to drop a case against the son of a prominent government official. Refusing to do so she asks Aoshima for help in a very unconventional way.

Muroi gets Aoshima assigned to help catch a suspect that might help him score some points with the brass. Aoshima is faced with the choice of towing the line or doing what he thinks is right.

Sumire is once again victimized by a creepy stalker that confuses her with an anime character he worships. Headquarters interferes once again, but Aoshima will not be kept from helping his colleague.

A tv idol has got the police station in an uproar. Meanwhile, Aoshima and Waku are assigned stake out duty in an effort to nab a drug dealer, but they get more than they bargained for when they find out that someone they know is involved.

Aoshima stands up to headquarters to keep Yukino out of their clutches. His stunt has bought him 48 hours to clear her. Can he and Waku find the suspect in time?

A brutal murder in their district make the Wangan police station the staging area for headquarter's investigation unit. The high ups are using it as a test case for a group of hotshot profilers bent on making detectives obsolete. Meanwhile, Sumire and Yukino help a young victim of a burglary while her dad is away.

Aoshima is assigned the task of protecting the mistress of a murder suspect. He and Sumire (Fukatsu Eri) finally bring her to the station, but this time the Wangan station is swarmed with the press. And among the reporters, there is a mysterious figure...

Aoshima (Yuji Oda) is informed that Waku (Chosuke Ikariya) has information about a cop killer he has been pursuing for years, and Aoshima reports to Muroi (Toshiro Yanagiba). Waku and Aoshima eventually obtain information about a "man with a scar on his cheek.

Mashita is shot and is in critical condition, unconscious. Muroi takes command of the Special Investigation Headquarters set up at the Wangan Police Station, and the Wangan police officers conduct a frantic investigation.

The special episode follows the story of Shunsaku Oshima after the events of the drama.

Newly graduated police officer Natsumi is assigned to the Traffic Division and paired with the stern senior officer Sae. Natsumi's enthusiasm and clumsiness often lead to trouble, and she starts questioning her future in the police force. Her life takes an unexpected turn when she becomes entangled in a dangerous case involving a wanted criminal.

Aoshima returns to the Bayside Precinct and gets involved in a new investigation. Unexpectedly, the case takes a complex turn, leading to a dangerous situation and raising suspicions about one of his colleagues. As the investigation unfolds, Aoshima faces challenges from within the department while trying to apprehend the elusive criminal.
