Brainwash - Season 1

Harald Eia explores the gender equality paradox. In Norway, a country with high gender equality, men and women often choose traditional, gender-typical professions. Eia questions whether this is caused by societal influences or biological differences. He interviews scientists worldwide, who offer both sociological and biological explanations. The documentary illustrates that, despite equality policies, deeply rooted differences persist.

Harald Eia examines the influence that parents may have on their children's IQ, academic performance, and personality. While some experts have so far not taken the genetic component into account at all, scientific studies such as adoption research show that genetics play a significant role.
