Brigadoon - Season 1

The time is Japan's period of rapid economic growth. Tokyo, where things are a little different from the well-known past. Marin, who lives in a tenement house in downtown Tokyo, is cheerfully delivering morning newspapers this morning in order to help her family's finances.

After saving Marin, the residents of the tenement warmly welcome Melan. He tells them that he is a bio-weapon from Brigadoon, a world that has appeared in the sky, and that he is on a mission to protect Marin. 　The next day, Meran goes to clean up the mess at Nezu Shrine, where he finds his classmates Tanzen and Kazunobu smoking cigarettes.

A usual morning. Moe comes to pick Marin up from school. When Moe learns that Marin has been targeted by the enemy Monomachia, he tells her that although he is powerless, he will always be on her side. The two are telegraphed to each other, but they bite back and forth on their friendship.

After the commotion at school, Marin finds it difficult to go to school. Unable to respond to the kind words of Moto, who watches over her, and Meran, who is concerned about her feelings, she goes out into the rainy city by herself. 　Marin stands by Shinobazu Pond.

Marin invites Moe to come to her house to go to school with her. However, her mother, who does not like her socializing with the tenement workers, does not allow her to do so. 　Marin has no choice but to go to school alone. She is still isolated at school, and even the police show up, suspicious of the relationship between Marin and Meran.

Marin was surrounded by police officers with guns at her tenement. The residents resist to help Marin as she is about to be taken away, but they are easily defeated. Seeing that even Meran is hurt, Marin agrees to be taken away quietly.

Melan is in desperate straits after Pion's attack. However, with the help of Marin, he survived. 　Pion flies away from the scene, and the tenement workers rush to the scene, and Marin succeeds in escaping from the police.

Summer vacation. Marin is bored and has no time to go anywhere, so Meran suggests that she invite Moe to go play with her. Marin is overjoyed and decides to invite Moe to go to the beach with her, but Moe's mother again turns her down. Marin then suggests that they go out at night so that her mother will not find them.

Jun has been in a bit of a funk lately. After receiving a phone call from a man that day, he was in a pensive mood. She heads to the public bath earlier than usual, but just then Marin arrives with Moe. 　Marin and Moe are both fascinated by Jun's mature appearance.

Marin has won a prize and she and Moto are headed to the Osaka Expo. 　Perhaps due to the social unrest brought on by the Brigadoon outbreak that swept across the sky, the turnout at the Expo was not great, but that didn't matter to Marin at all. Marin is tired, so she takes advantage of Moto's advice to go and see the expo on her own.

In the pouring rain, Moto's wake was being held at the tenement. On the roof, Marin is alone on her knees, soaking wet from the rain. Sad and shocked, she refuses to eat any food, thinking that Moto's death was caused by her taking him to Osaka. She is even harsh with Melan, who was worried about her and tried to talk to her. He returns to the ampoule with a sad expression on his face.

Marin has had a hard time recovering from Moto's death. One day, an agitated woman appears at the tenement house. She tells Marin that her daughter was killed in a riot at the Expo site, and begins to strangle her. Unable to resist, Marin is left at her mercy, but Midori saves her just in time.

Apollo 11, carrying Marin and three American astronauts, successfully landed on Brigadoon. However, the astronauts are lost in the world of Brigadoon, which is beyond human understanding. Marin, as the key to save the world from collapse, sets out alone to reach the central city.

In Brigadoon, the central assembly was convened, and Rollo was also present. The convenient appearance of Melan and Marin, and the suggestion by PASSCA Executive Committee Chairman Lele that there is a traitor in the center, worsens Rollo's position in the assembly.

While waiting for Meran to recover, Marin and her friends begin to explore Savumaton Color. 　In a place where summer and winter exist simultaneously, they encounter snowman-like inhabitants. In another forest, Marin and Meran eat a hallucinogenic chocolate fruit and are attacked by hallucinations.

Marin is not the real Crais, i.e., Marine. Who am I? Where should I go back? 　She hesitates to return to the earth because she is worried that she does not know where she is.

Marin stands stunned in a changed world. In search of the tenement house residents, Marin visits a junior high school that has been used as an evacuation center. 　The school is a miserable place, lined with battered evacuation tents, and many injured people are moaning and groaning.

Marin's eyes have lost their light due to her involvement in frequent equivalent collapses. 　Midori encourages Marin and takes care of her.

The Brigadoon council decides to send the bayonet Eryun to Earth to retrieve the ark buried there and to search for Marin. 　At the same time, Meran visits a temporary hospital to have the injured Marin treated. However, the people are harsh to Melan, who is a monomaniac.

Eryun's attack on Marin and Meran was relentless. Marin uses the power of the cosmos to escape from the ark with the injured Melan. 　Marin and Meran return to the ground. After being apart for a short time, they feel a strong emotional connection and promise each other to stay together.

Marin and Meran began to live with the residents again in the empty lot where the tenement house used to be. 　After sending Meran off to explore Marin, Marin frees Eryun from the ampoule in an unpopular place. Marin pleaded with him to restore the bond that she and Meran had before, but he told her, “You will regret letting me go sooner or later,” and flew away.

Marin and her friends start a new life in the reconstructed tenement house. 　Meanwhile, in Brigadoon, a rebellion breaks out in the central council, and Rollo and some of his friends try to escape.

Marin and Melan finally found Marin. However, Kuston appears and Melan is plunged into a fierce battle. 　At first, Meran even shows some composure, but he is gradually driven into a corner by Kuston's abilities as a new generation of bayonet fighter. Marin transforms into Kuston with her cosmos to save Meran, but she is caught in the same pinch.

Brigadoon is in the midst of chaos. Rolo and his friends are running away from the chaos. 　One by one, his friends are getting hurt. Rolo finally discovers the true nature of the variable value that is believed to be the source of all the problems... Marin, who got on a rocket to save Melan and his friends, has also arrived in Brigadoon.

Between the creases, Meran, whose consciousness has been hijacked, fires a gun at Marin. 　However, the bullet does not hit Marin. I haven't changed after all. Marin speaks to Meran in a confident tone, "Meran can't kill me...she's my lover. She tells him with conviction, "You can't kill me...you're my lover. To calm him down, Marin lays her lips on him.

Marin and Meran are seriously injured by Kuston's attack. Marin encourages Melan, who apologizes for not being able to protect her, and pours her own bio-vitality into Melan with the Cosmos. Then Meran powers up into a new form and, together with Marin, stands up to face Kston.
