Celeste Barber: Fine, thanks

One of the more painful stand-up sets doing the rounds at the moment – Barber has some potentially decent material which is muffled time and time again by her delivery that appears to want to appear spontaneous, but emerges as scattershot and odd; the timing is the thing here, and it drags down the act proper. Some odd interspersions of audience reaction shots (who seem to be laughing in disbelief rather than genuine amusement) do nothing to help matters.
