Watched like 10 seasons. Up and down on the story line but over all super enjoyable story and characters.

It kept reminding me of "Melrose Place" in spirit, with the firehouse as stand-in for the LA apartment complex, and Taylor Kinney is the new Grant Show (as the cast pretty boy only--Show is a MUCH better actor). Unfortunately, this takes itself WAY more seriously. And you'd think a show about a fire and rescue squad would be mercifully free of stupid plot lines involving babies and children, wouldn't you? You'd be wrong. (That's actual children, not what many of the characters behave like.)

It has a lot of good effects and plenty of entertaining storylines. It spawned a universe of diverse situations and incredible characters. It keeps the romance and the drama intertwined but it really shines during the moments of high intense action. A solid cast also helps sell the slower moments and the solid visual affects do the rest.
