Funk has strong wrestling bloodlines. His dad, Dory Funk Sr., was a well-known grappler from the 1940s to the 1970s, and his brother, Dory Funk Jr., wrestled from 1963 until the early 90s, and won the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) world heavyweight championship in 1969. Funk, himself, became NWA champion and thus the Funks have the distinction of being the only brothers to win the NWA championship.

Terry Gene Bollea, better known by his ring name Hulk Hogan, is an American professional wrestler, actor, television personality, and musician currently signed to Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA). Hulk Hogan's crossover popularity led to several television and movie roles. Early in his career Bollea played the part of Thunderlips in Rocky III (1982). Stone Cold ''Steve Austin'' was born in Victoria Texas and his name was Steve Williams. He became one of the WWF's most popular wrestlers during the late '90s. He started career in Hollywood films from The Longest Yard (2005), The Condemned (2007), Damage (2009), The Expendables (2010), Grown Ups 2 (2013) and in this year Chain of Command and Smosh: The Movie.

He has held the WCW World Title 10 times, and has been the US, Tag, TV, and the US tag champ. He has been the only wrestler to stay in WCW since the late 1980s and he had reconstructive knee surgery in 1991. Steve aka Sting is also the only wrestler who has never worked for WWE
