A short western pilot to a TV series, directed by Ed Wood.

In the 1950s, Wood made a run of cheap and poorly produced genre films, now humorously celebrated for their technical errors, unsophisticated special effects, idiosyncratic dialogue, eccentric casts and outlandish plot elements, although his flair for showmanship gave his projects at least a modicum of critical success. Wood's popularity waned soon after his biggest "name" star, Béla Lugosi, died. He was able to salvage a saleable feature from Lugosi's last moments on film, but his career declined thereafter.

A TV-pilot for a western that wasn't picked-up. Directed by the cult director Edward D. Wood Jr. and you can sense westerns wasn't his thing either. An attempt to revive Tom Keene's career. Once a cowboy hero in the 1930s, the last attempts at keeping him as a cowboy star was back in 1942, and it's been bit parts ever since. As his deputy he has another former cowboy star turned bit-part player, Tom Tyler. Most likable thing is this poor attempt is Lyle Talbot.
