This show provides an empathetic view of mental illness from the perspective of psych ward nurses, doctors, patients, and family members. It addresses stigmatizing and controversial topics in a digestible way through the lens of Korean culture. Sometimes tragic, deeply human, with moments of levity, humor, and romantic storylines typical of a K-drama. I absolutely loved the show in its own right and as a cultural artifact.
