Daily Dose of Sunshine

I second pizza's review. It was a little heavier than I initially expected and sometimes fantastical, but thought provoking. 'We're all mad here.'

This show provides an empathetic view of mental illness from the perspective of psych ward nurses, doctors, patients, and family members. It addresses stigmatizing and controversial topics in a digestible way through the lens of Korean culture. Sometimes tragic, deeply human, with moments of levity, humor, and romantic storylines typical of a K-drama. I absolutely loved the show in its own right and as a cultural artifact.
