Far from perfect and by no means a substitute of the Manga/Anime, it's at least a decent adaptation that really tries to resemble the mood and thrill. Light actor is much better than the movie one (I didn't like at all) and L is worse but not bad, still a good cast. It can be an interesting watch for fans even with the many failures (technically it looks too cheap) and has more chances of letting a good taste than the movies in comparison.

Unlike the original(anime) L is superior to Light and there are many other things that annoys me like Near being girl and Mello being puppet?!? Also almost everyone is overacting. Anyways, its nice to see more of death note and it makes you keep watching.
