Die Frau vom Checkpoint Charlie

Sara, a single mother to two young daughters, attempts to flee from East Germany but is caught and imprisoned. She is eventually permitted to emigrate, albeit without her daughters. She embarks on a years-long protest campaign to reunite her family.
