The Birth of Arale

Scouts from various clubs are swarming around Arale. She decides to try them all out, but her off-the-charts strength causes trouble everywhere she goes! When Arale accuses Senbei of “not having anything important in his body,” he mistakenly assumes she means “that thing.” To investigate, he invents non-living-being-transparent glasses.

Senbei was overjoyed after inventing a time-slip device that lets you travel to any era you like. But then, he accidentally sent Arale alone to the Warring States period! Next, they time-slip to the Stone Age. Arale and the others befriend some primitive children. When they warm the mysterious egg they received as a gift, what happens next...!

What hatched from the egg was a strange baby that gnawed on everything from milk bottles to water pipes. And it had wings growing from its back! Named Gatchan, the baby chased a bee and flew out alone. After causing a bomb scare throughout the village, it was picked up along with a cat...!?

Arale secretly rescued a bear trapped in a cage. Just as she breathed a sigh of relief after returning it to the mountains, the bear was shot by a hunter. Later, Senbei invented a ray gun that could freely change the size of objects. Senbei tried to shrink Professor Yamabuki to show off his invention, but...

When Senbei heard Arale say the teacher was coming, he frantically dressed up and tidied up. He hurriedly had the barber robot cut his hair, ending up with a terrible hairstyle. Arale and Gatchan became hostages to robbers, but unaware of this, they kept playing at full power.

As usual, but not your average day—we follow Arale's extraordinary adventures! Today, Arale starts by wrecking a patrol car, then gets drunk at school after eating every single whisky bonbon she can find. But come nightfall, she suddenly complains, “My tummy hurts...”

Donbe, the mischievous fox who loves pranks, disguises himself as Yamabuki-sensei to try eating the fish from the school lunch, but gets caught by Arale and the others. He approaches Arale and the others to get revenge, but gets caught in a trap that had been set and ends up getting hurt.

Upon hearing that Professor Yamabuki's panties were strawberry-patterned, Senbei became utterly consumed with the desire to see them. A brilliant idea struck his mind!

Arale and Gatchan get captured by King Nicchan, an alien scheming to invade Earth (Chitama). Earth faces a major crisis, but when Gatchan eats the spaceship, the tables quickly turn! King Nicchan's crew can't get back home.

Arare learned fashion from a cheeky mushroom. That night, when she asked passersby, “Is this cool?”, a ghost appeared in the village! What was its true identity? In the latter half, Senbei, harassed by a policewoman, becomes invisible and plots revenge.

The plane carrying Taro and Arale made an emergency landing above the clouds. There lived Gorosuke, the Thunder God's servant. Taro and Arale began acting wild and free, making it rain and striking lightning.

Shocked after Senbei called her a bad kid, Arale resolved to become a good girl by helping people in need. That very night, she spotted Joe Dan trying to sneak into the Norimaki house, but Arale ended up helping the thief instead.

Supa-Man appeared in Penguin Village. Though he claimed to be a champion of justice, he was really nothing more than a troublemaker. He was a bumbling hero who could only beat Arale-chan and Gatchan at rock-paper-scissors. Yet for some reason, Arale found herself drawn to this Supa-Man.

Arare went out to buy ramen but got distracted by Akane's bra. Completely forgetting her purpose, she started searching for bras. When she went to the safari park, the jeep she was riding in broke down. While the guide panicked surrounded by wild beasts, Arare started picking a fight with a tiger.

Arale found a camera that captures the future and snapped a picture of everyone ten years from now! While Akane and the others have grown up, Arale—who should be 23—is... Later, bored Arale and Akane switch places after disguising themselves. Akane, unaware Arale is a robot...

Two monsters—a Dranpyr and a werewolf—have come to the Norimaki household seeking fresh blood and cash! The Dranpyr tries to suck Arale's blood, but her android body proves too tough for its teeth. Furthermore, mistaking the sleepwalking Arale and Gatchan for monsters...

Using a fairy tale machine that lets you enter books, Arale arrived in the world of the picture book “Momotaro.” Because of Arale's free-spirited ways, the story gets completely messed up. The assassin Bibiru-man was stalking Arale. While Bibiru-man struggled with Arale and her friends, he got caught up in the chaos and stepped into the picture book world himself.

Arale and the others secretly time-traveled without telling Senbei and were playing in the ancient ocean. Senbei grew worried when they didn't return for a long time. While searching the shore, he discovered something astonishing. Arale's “swim trunks” had fossilized and were lying there!

Mushroom, whose favorite mammoth strawberry was eaten by his dad. Driven to despair, he rebelled and finally ran away from home. He tried acting tough by buying cigarettes and riding motorcycles, but it didn't quite click. So he decided to recruit Arale as his partner.

Senbei was supposed to go on a space date with Professor Yamabuki, but Arale and Gatchan tagged along, leaving him disappointed. To make matters worse, right in the middle of space, he suddenly had to use the bathroom. They managed to make an emergency landing on a nearby planet, but then Professor Yamabuki was attacked by a monster...

Upon returning from space, Senbei and the others were stunned to encounter elderly people calling themselves Taro and Akane. The two insisted, “Senbei and the others went missing 50 years ago,” and stubbornly refused to let them into the house. Panicking, Senbei and the others slipped back in time to 50 years ago.

The Boss and Arale ended up going on a date. Arale, who had been taught to “hold hands and run, run, run,” ended up swinging the Boss around with all her might. In the latter half, Arale is finally modified into a normal girl without super strength. However, even during the modification process, Arale uses her body as a remote-controlled car and goes on a rampage.

One day, a mole cricket flew into Arare's mouth. Suddenly, Arare became all prim and proper! Seeing her completely transformed self—studying diligently and handling household chores—Senbei and the others grew worried. They tried everything to get her back to normal, but nothing worked.

A transfer student named Scoop, a bookworm from Metropolis Island, joined Arale's class. For Scoop, who had fought through the fierce exam wars on Metropolis Island, Penguin Village's school was full of culture shock. He was quite severely shocked by Arale and the others' idiocy, which was completely unthinkable for middle schoolers.

Senbei modified Arale so that whatever she saw would appear on the TV. Thanks to Arale, who knew nothing about it, he successfully witnessed Yamabuki-sensei's underwear. Feeling cocky now, Senbei tricked Arale into borrowing a bath at Yamabuki-sensei's house.

Arare insists on keeping the puppy Gatchan brought home. Though Senbee, who absolutely hates dogs, objects, he finally gives in to Arare's persistence. Overjoyed, Arare names the dog “Poop” and they become the best of friends.

Two unfamiliar aliens appeared in Penguin Village. Seeing Gatchan and Unchi playing energetically, they rejoiced, “We found the child!” It seems they came to retrieve the child they accidentally left behind on Earth...!?

While Arale and the others were playing war games, Taro's dad and Akane's dad barged in. With Senbei joining in, a battle erupted between the three lovely old men. Completely bored by the serious adults, Akane came up with a mischievous plan.

Piesuke keeps sighing. Seems he's got a case of lovesickness. Who could Piesuke like? Curious about the object of his affection, Senbee invents “First Love Spray”—a spray that flashes when sprinkled on clothes and held in front of the person you like. Who does the spray reveal as Piesuke's crush...?

A series of heinous crimes hit Penguin Village, culminating in a bank robbery. The culprit? None other than Suppaman! Right before Police Chief Senbei's eyes, Suppaman pulled off a daring escape. But the real problem was Officer Arale, who gave chase. Her chaotic pursuit sent the entire village into an uproar.

After seeing Kinoko wet the bed, Arare declared she wanted to do it too. She'd heard that drinking lots of water before bed and dreaming about water would help, but it just wasn't working. So Senbei decided to invent a pillow that lets you dream whatever you want...

Senbei decided to become a star to catch Yamabuki-sensei's attention. So he invented a movie machine that could easily shoot films. He made Akane the director and started filming his own movie, Cat Hoodie-chan, starring himself. What exactly was the content?

The devil child Chibiru arrived in Penguin Village. Chibiru has a scary dad, and if he doesn't bring back a human soul, he'll get a severe scolding from his father. He desperately targets Arale-chan, but the clumsy Chibiru is easily defeated...

Taro and Akane mock Arare and Piesuke for believing in Santa Claus, calling them childish. Senbei, wanting to awaken the two realists to childlike dreams, disguises himself as Santa Claus on Christmas Eve and visits the children's homes.

A girl named Moras arrived in Penguin Village. She's the older sister of Chibiru, the devil child. The precocious Moras schemes to seduce handsome men and steal their souls. She suddenly proposed to Senbei, then set her sights on Supaman and Taro one after another...

With Yamabuki-sensei leading the way, the curtain rises on the musical Cinderella! Just as Cinderella, played by Senbee, is being tormented by her mean stepsisters, the witch Arare appears right on schedule. But this musical seems to be telling a different story from the usual Cinderella...

Dr. Monster's dream is to create a kingdom where he can live surrounded by the monsters he loves dearly. But achieving that requires enormous funds. As things stand now, he doesn't have nearly enough! In desperation, the doctor breaks into the Norimaki household to steal, only to end up kidnapping Arale of all people.

Having slipped back in time not to ancient times but to the “middle ages,” Arale and her friends encounter the swordsman Musashi heading for a duel with his rival Kojiro. After losing to Arale in rock-paper-scissors, Musashi burns with rivalry and keeps challenging her to a fight until he wins... but he never manages to win even once.

Supa-Man, who arrogantly plays the hero, takes out his frustration with dynamite when people don't fawn over him. Because of this, the villagers are constantly inconvenienced. Finally, the victims rise up and gather in force as the “Anxiety Rally”...

A dream machine that produces real objects when you insert a photo has been completed. Senbei's heart swells with lecherous anticipation, but Arale inserts a scandalous photo first. The latter half tells the story of Arale joining a biker gang. The bikers were strict about rules, and besides, they were early risers and incredibly healthy!

Parsan, who fancies himself a jungle hero. But he's so utterly clumsy that even the animals constantly mock him. Today, he's once again locked in a ridiculous battle of idiocy with Suppaman, his equally foolish counterpart.

Gala and Pagos encountered Arale while on patrol. But for some reason, today of all days, Arale sped off without destroying the patrol car. Finding this strange, Gala and Pagos began chasing Arale, and gradually the whole village joined in the chase, turning into a huge commotion.

Senbei was scheduled to appear on TV, so Arale and Gatchan headed to the city island with him. During the live broadcast, Arale and the others waiting outside the studio started playing war games and went wild. Soon, even the real military was deployed, and the city island was left in a state of utter devastation.

Akane and Yamabuki-sensei look remarkably alike upon closer inspection! Akane decides to disguise herself as Yamabuki-sensei and play a prank on Senbei. She immediately puts on a wig and heads to the Norimaki residence. Senbei is completely fooled, obeying Akane's every command and getting worked to the bone.

James Button is a master of poop handling, recognized by both himself and others. But when he visits Penguin Village, he encounters Arale, who surpasses even him. Losing confidence, Button flees in a vacuum truck, but Arale chases after him, poop in hand, following him wherever he goes...

The setting this time is way, way back in the ancient past, when dinosaurs roamed the earth—in Penguin Village. While the primitive kids, Arare and the others, were studying under the blue sky, Teacher Yamabuki got snatched by a Pteranodon! Hearing the news, Senbei challenges the Pteranodon to battle with his water gun to rescue Teacher Yamabuki.

Chibiru tries to drag Senbei to hell. Senbei insists he's done nothing wrong and will go to heaven. But Chibiru's video clearly shows his past sins. Furthermore, it turns out Yamabuki-sensei also has quite a past...

No matter how much Senbei tells her, Arale can't manage cleaning or cooking. Frustrated, Senbei invents a new helper robot. But the robot, Akiko-san, is pushy and stubborn, throwing the Norimaki household into even greater chaos.

Senbei promised Arale he'd take her to the amusement park. But then Yamabuki-sensei invited him to the movies on the same day, and he ended up saying yes. Senbei tried to get out of the double booking by using a copy of himself, but it led to a huge fight over which one would go on the date...
