A brilliant couple of series combining sweet comedy and bitter family drama in the way that only slightly twee British TV comedies can. Lovely cast and settings and nicely paced.

More like a bad British take off of Almereyda's Twister than it's makers probably even realize. It's somehow both too twee and too morbid at the time time, however it's sheer commitment to it's own uneven tone is kind of endearing in and of itself. It feels like it could have probably used a rewrite from Richard Ayoade or Chris Morris or something i dunno.

Probably a slight over-rating because of Barratt and Colman, got less interesting as it went.
