The series is mostly just okay. It tries to thread too many plot paths and can't really hold them all. Most of the Season 1 plotlines with the luddites are completely abandoned. Interesting characters drift in and out. The premise of this show is really interesting, and it's quite well done in style and theme - but it needs about 4-5 seasons and 10 episodes a pop to explore the social ramifications of such a world.

I'm not generally into time travel, but the premise of people from the past (prehistoric times, the early medieval and the 19th century) coming to live in the future got me interested. Well, actually, it was Nicolai Cleve Broch's presence that got me interested mainly. But maybe I would have preferred it if they just focused on how different people from the past coped with living in the 21st century without so much crime-mystery. Nevertheless, rather good performances and script. EF 40, IF 30.

The score is a bit lower as it was going to be before seeing the final part of season 1. The finale definitely left me wanting another season as they fabricated numerous new twists, but it left me with a strange feeling of being cheated - I felt like the story ended abruptly and without any serious conclusion. In general, I really liked it - great characters, good story building (apart from the finale) and most of all, a brilliant idea for the series in the first place. Recommended to anyone

What a wonderfully imagined world. It's sooo well plotted, the characters are amazing, I really love Alfshildr, she is phenomenal, but a lot of the side characters are given plenty of room to shine. And the worldbuilding is top notch. Loved the twists at the end of the first season. Cannot wait for season 2.
