Adding this purely as a pointer to what I remember as an excellent program deserving to be watched. A long running franchise but, from what I remember, the early ones are the best. The pairing of Fukuyama Masaharu & Yuriko Yoshitaka really works. A common genre in Japan - the non-police male (scatty) wizz and the female rookie/incompetent who helps and hinders, sometimes both at once... of them all, this iteration I think works best, a lot due to Fukuyama Masaharu's acting. Well made also.
