I loved this show when I was 13 or so. It was surreal and mean spirited and unlike anything else I had ever seen. I need to rewatch it.

This was an early project helmed by David Mirkin who would later go on to be the showrunner for The Simpsons during its best years (seasons 5 and 6), and while they're different shows in a lot of ways (this one's darker, smaller, and lacks the free-associative pop culture references), the surreal, anarchic style of humor here would definitely pave the way for what came later. There are too many strange, bittersweet, hilarious moments to mention, oh, and Charlie Kaufman was a writer on it too.
