Ratings & Reviews
While being pursued by tax collectors, siblings Tatsuya and Kiyoko Madoka find shelter with the Gilgamesh, a group of strange youths with psychic powers.
The Gilgamesh, revealing themselves as horrible monsters, do battle with the Orga-Superior--three children under the care of a woman called the Countess. Tatsuya and Kiyoko are soon taken into the Countess's custody.
The Madoka siblings acquaint themselves with the Countess, who wants them to fight against the Gilgamesh. Another battle begins, and though the siblings want to get away, the Countess has other plans.
Now legally owned by the Countess, Tatsuya and Kiyoko are taken to their new home, the Hotel Providence. Investigation begins on the wing of antimatter cut from the Gilgamesh Uno in the previous battle.
Tatsuya becomes fascinated with Dynamis, the energy force central to the Orga-Superior's psychic powers, as well as his own emerging Dynamis abilities. The Gilgamesh continue to pursue the siblings.
Kyoko is still being held captive by the Gilgamesh, and Tatsuya and the Countess's servants are determined to rescue her. Their search leads them to an abandoned airport, where they find Kyoko near an old plane wreck. But the group is being watched, so Kyoko and her brother Tatsuya are told to flee while Isamu and the others deal with the Gilgamesh.
It has snowed on the countess's estate, and Isamu and the others go outside to have a little snowball fight. But Tatsuya is supposed to use this opportunity to practice and apply his skills, and it becomes clear that he has already made great progress.
Kyoko has disappeared, and Tatsuya isn't really surprised, given the conversation they had yesterday. Isamu sets out to look for her, but in the meantime, some of the countess's people take her back to the hotel.
Isamu and the others show Tatsuya around the corporate city. But Tatsuya isn't really impressed, so he takes it all in stride.
The chase begins, quickly escalating into a fight. Both Fu and Tatsuya find themselves in a tough spot against their opponents, but fortunately, they emerge from their encounter with the Gilgamesh nearly unscathed.
The teenagers still feel a growing urge to ask more questions, and to satisfy that curiosity, the four of them decide to head to Midnight Corp.
The day has finally come when Tatsuya can meet up with his sister again. The two have chosen an amusement park as their meeting place.
The countess has been invited to a memorial service, and her attendance is strongly requested. The person in question is the president of Midnight Corp. himself, who has known the countess—or “little Hiroko,” as he used to call her—since she was born.
Tatsuya and the others are practicing a bit in the courtyard, and Tatsuya is doing quite well. He's been noticing Fu sneezing all this time and suggests she should probably get that checked out. Isamu then explains to him that this always happens when someone she really likes is around, and that person is Tatsuya.
The launch of Turangalila is a resounding success and is celebrated in grand style. Tatsuya and the others are there too, but the relationship between him and Fu is a little strained because of yesterday's incident. So he goes looking for her.
The October Project has thus more or less failed, and many people have been seriously injured as a result of the chaos caused by the Gilgamesh. Isamu and the others are therefore doing their best to help wherever they can.
The Countess's hotel is quickly converted into an emergency shelter for the many injured. Here, people are doing their best to help.
Tatsuya is still being held by the Midnight Corporation, where he learns that he is a clone of his father. Shortly after receiving this shocking news, he is released thanks to the Countess, but this new revelation weighs heavily on his mind.
Back at the hotel, it's bedtime. After having a nightmare, Tatsuya wakes up and looks over at his sister, but she's no longer in her bed. He finds her curled up under the piano in the lobby. Tatsuya sits down next to Kiyoko, and they both fall asleep.
Fu and Tatsuya play the piano together and grow a little closer. A short while later, Kiyoko returns to the hotel. But her stay is to be short-lived, for after a brief conversation with the countess, Kiyoko collapses and has to be taken back to the hospital.
In Uruk, Tatsuya and Kyoko's father meets their mother. Together, they discover the tomb of Gilgamesh, believed to be the origin of Dynamis. Scientists from around the world have joined the effort to study this discovery more closely, and Heaven's Gate was founded.
The Countess tells Isamu even more about the past and how she met Enkidu back then. At that time, research at Heaven's Gate was in full swing, and the Countess was also a scientist there.
Kasamatsuri's father has died. He blames his adoptive sister, Reiko. Shortly thereafter, she leaves her father's estate and shows up at the countess's estate. In addition, new secrets about the Blataria are revealed.
The Gilgamesh have regrouped and are back to full strength. They have also gained true dynamis and, shortly thereafter, set out for the final battle. Now the true face of the Blattaria is revealed as they sweep through the alleys, heedless of the cost, destroying everything in their path.
Toru is told that Reiko isn't a girl at all, but a boy, and that everyone except him seems to have known this all along. At first, though, he doesn't really want to accept it.
