Way before Bear Grylls and his legion of celebrity survivors, Joanna Lumley was doing it by herself for nine days on a desert island. Okay, she has a safe spot, army rations and no doubt a lot of help and guidance, but by all accounts she was slumming it solo for the most part. All seems a bit tame by today’s standards and as the days pass you begin to get as tired of the experience as she does, but Lumley’s always worth watching and personally this was a trip down memory lane.
