A serial attempting to portray serious issues of redemption, policing, addiction to prescription drugs and the influence of past events on the now. When it's good it's very good but unfortunately it can't forget it's a serial and so drags in scenes that are generic and where reality goes by the board... and the scene and lead-in where the villain gets ???? is woeful (I always think of Tuco - "When you have to shoot, shoot, don't talk!") A missed opportunity, but worth watching for the good bits.
