It's nice to see the familiar series in higher quality animation, but Hajime no Ippo: Champion Road isn't among the series's best moments. Other than the drama between Ippo and Kumi, the pre-fight prep and fight itself play out like standard. Obviously if you're a fan you're not going to skip this, so whatever.
