Gabriella finds an unfinished symphony that was written by her late uncle Octave Barron who found inspiration through murder. Thrilled by it's possibilities she hires Marius (Ben Cross) to complete the symphony. As he begins work on the piece he finds himself stuck in a bizarre murdering cycle handed down from the original composer. (imdb)

Roger Corman resumes his celluloid relationship with Russia -- an alliance that dates back to the early '60s, when he purchased a Soviet space epic and proceeded to construct several films (e.g. _Planet of Blood_) around its more spectacular footage -- in this decently mounted attempt to recapture the gothic grandeur of his Poe pics of yore. While Cross may be no Vincent Price, Garland *is* still Garland, and it's good to see the former feisty '50s femme fiend-fighter in a meaty fright-film role
