Hit or miss. I wish they could have tightened things up and turned it into a movie instead. It would have worked better.

Effectively a tribute to Brooksian comedy is affectionately made but spotty and uneven – might have worked better boiling down the best bits to a single feature length subject; as it is, even the highlights tend to be played out too long to ad nauseum; Brooks’ deft touch behind the camera is missed as well, with too much of the material overly laboured and faltering in the execution. Worth it for a few nostalgic chuckles; Sykes (as Shirley Chisholm) and “The Last Supper Sessions” come off best.
