The reviews all compared this to Girls, I guess because it's an HBO series with a female creator/main star, but I don't see it; the main character is a career-minded striver from episode 1, the opposite of Lena Dunham in Girls. It shares way more DNA with Entourage, just with the fratty bro energy swapped out with TikTokker vibes. She has a famous influencer & movie star daughter in her main circle, so it's much closer to Entourage's aspirational LA lifestyle porn than Girls' self-loathing.
