Rod Serling was never a subtle writer, but this episode is a particularly ham-fisted sermon on human hatred. It remains watchable thanks to the strong performances across the board. To see a similar point made much more elegantly, watch The Monsters are Due on Maple Street.

While the acting by everyone is very good, the story is kind of pompous and exaggerated.
