Bonkers TV movie of the Lifetime Lynch variety with phenomenal work under the circumstances by a ten year-old Mae Whitman, whose character, along with the rest of her family, is pretending she has a younger sister to support her mother's delusions. It's also kind of a perfect use of Garber, a classically trained actor who resembles a Rea Irvin caricature of a soap idol, as the father who takes his daughter as a "partner" in their new arrangement. And yet it's all obscenely antiseptic.

Sooo terribly wrongheaded. Just in every possible way. There are a few different realistic endgame scenarios for the type of situation presented in this movie, and they're all murder-suicides.
