one of my favorite anime of all time holy crap

Casts shades of Black Lagoon; however, Black Lagoon had no pretense of believability nor was it was as vapidly dry as Jormungand. Not only is its approach to weapon dealing completely unbelievable and its character motivations asinine, but there's a lot of dissonance between its serious topic matter and the stupid anime cliches embraced by its protagonists. Most of the cast is a one-note joke, and the actions scenes have zero tension or excitement, due to laughable plot armor and poor animation.
