Superb evocation of post-war Britain with the help of perhaps unlikely narrator Richards, who tells vivid, laconic tales of his childhood, illustrated brilliantly with extensive and well-chosen archival footage of the period. Temple pieces together an extensive overview of British life at the time, while also revealing telling specifics of Richards' life and influences. A quite remarkable and at times extremely moving portrait.
