Lego animation does not have to conform to canon, yet each one of these specials gets more boring and less creative.

This LEGO Star Wars special tries to follow the cheerful formula of its previous entries, but this time it falls pretty short. The premise is simple: a galactic cruise with vacation anecdotes that serve as excuses to tell disconnected mini-stories. Some are mildly funny, and as always, there are references meant for die-hard fans. But overall, it feels more like an animated product catalog than a story with heart. The animation isn't terrible, but it looks rougher compared to other LEGO product

Lego Star Wars used to be fun...what happened? This entry is a glorified clip show that more closely resembles an advertisement than a creative endeavour. Disney's Star Wars is shaping up to be a spiral of diminishing returns, unable to free itself from the shackles of nostalgia that keep it from moving forward and bound to less interesting newer characters. Makes it tough to parody. Points for Williams & Tran reprising their roles though.
