LD sucks you in to the gloriously crazy world of Dickens and leaves you completely bereft when it finishes, such is the amazing storytelling, cast and acting. Whilst it is hard not to fall in love with Amy it is equally hard not to loath the brilliant Andy Serkis - an unrivalled, consistently brilliant performance of pure nastiness!. Whilst Dickens gets out of most scrapes by someone conveniently dying, or a Will miraculously uncovered just at the right moment who cares? Pure Entertainment.

Great fun. As someone who's come to this from screen rather than book culture, the colourful characters and storyline felt very much like anime. I guess Dickens is a big influence on the genre.
