I have no doubt that if Ken Russell had been a musical performer, he would have became just as famous as he did as a film director. His genius for wedding music with his extraordinary visual imagery is astounding. As a classical musician, it is evident to me that he understands music better than most musicians I know. The images here remind me of "Man with a Movie Camera"--I can think of no higher compliment to pay than that.
