I think this is honestly one of HBO's best shows, and is incredibly underrated. Patrick and company are all very well-developed, and we get to see all of their stumbles and pitfalls as people, but also the shining moments in between that make it all worthwhile. If anything, Looking was one of the most humanizing shows on television, and I really enjoyed it. While its quality wasn't always perfect, I think each episode was essential to the intimate portrayals of these characters. I will miss this

MUCH better than I expected. Good cast, good writing. Liked the use of San Francisco almost like a secondary character a lot. Julia Duffy is fantastic as Jonathan Groff's mother, and Lauren Weedman is the perfect fag hag. Worthwhile.

First off, I think this a MUCH better show than Girls, the show it was often described in media as being a "gay version" of. Better eye for filmmaking; better acting. That said, I still found it fairly plotless and never ended up finishing all the episodes. I am straight, though, so not the target audience. But I can acknowledge it's well made.
