Starts as a traditional high fantasy adventure - a group of underdog heroes from a remote village on a journey to the royal palace to defeat an evil prince, etc etc, like Willow or whatever. I don't say that to criticize - I enjoy those kinds of stories! But this one... well, it goes in some INSANELY bizarre directions like halfway through with looping timelines, alternate dimensions, flash-forwards to modern day, etc. Not what I wanted - I wanted old school fantasy.
