Slick, cartoonish, pointless. Feels like three hours of those deliberately cheesy flashbacks to the first MBS guys in THE BIG SHORT. Or like eight episodes of SUITS.

Entertaining mini-series serves as an excellent crash course in Madoff's rise and fall, though it's a shame that the characterisations of Madoff and his wife are too broadly drawn at times - more a fault of the screenplay than the performances, as Dreyfuss and Danner are both excellent, and surrounded by a fine supporting cast.
