For docu-dramas you can hardly do better than Mayday aka Air Crash Investigation, because although overdramatized it sticks to the facts even when the facts are not politically correct.

Extraordinarily interesting.

I watched all the episodes of this series one month before my first ever trip to America; and before various other flights within the US, on the 10th anniversary of 9/11. So I guess I'll always remember them as horror movies.

Frequently interesting exploration of the complexity and sometimes the fragility of the systems through which human and machine relate. Jonathan Aris, the narrator of the British version (titled AIR CRASH INVESTIGATION), has a great voice and mostly an admirably deadpan manner. The way in some seasons everything is so strongly structured for the placement of commercials leads to a great deal of repetition within each episode, which is at times annoying, but so it goes.
