Skarsgard reprises his emotionally vulnerable, yet otherworldly persona he developed as Eric the Vampire and it works well in this new context. The stakes are never set that high, so it all feels very 'family friendly', but still, it was diverting enough.

A nice and faithful adaptation of a really nice book series. Unfortunately, it doesn't translate well into TV. A bit wokepreachy as well.

Enjoyed the first two episodes, then it went downhill and I quit after episode six. It attempts to incorporate humor, and the scenes specifically intended to elicit laughter are so underwhelming that they instead evoked a growing sense of annoyance within me. I kept thinking about the immense effort put into shooting the show, contrasted with the minimal effort invested in writing dialogues with just a little depth and intelligence.

This Apple TV series has a promising premise of a biological robot seeking freedom. However, this murderbot is the only white character, the hedonism of the hippy crew disgusts him, and he fantasizes about mass-killing them all. Hmm. My review is based on only the first two episodes, but it's obvious that this conservative murderbot will learn to accept and even love his diverse, polyamorous, bisexual and homosexual crewmates.
