interesting insight into one of the more unconventional minds in filmmaking. i did not know that he had a reading disability, which explains a lot about his focus on imagery rather than dialog. he turned a disadvantage into his signature style, so there's that. i can also very much relate to his vision of a scene hinging on music. it still is the most inspiring stylistic device for me, and the best way to educe a genuine emotional response from viewers.
