IMO to fully appreciate this some history is needed - fictional master swordsman from series of novels penned from 1950's - so popular that N K became a lead (played by differing actors) in multiple series & movies since. Lead here (Masakazu Tamura) was one of those actors & "fits" admirably by pedigree & actual age. Surprisingly well done with ethos of the N K world maintained to the end.
